BLOB 1995 - BRF
We are generally very interested in the surfaces of our projects. We like working on the texture, -as the graphic aspect of the objects. With Blob we applied vacuum forming technology, -a very cheep and basically simple technology, which normally is used in the packaging fields. When we designed Blob, -more than 10 years ago, the use of vacuum forming in the furniture fields was quite new, -reason for the interest of several design museums for that collection.
Blob is selected into the permanent collection of the Design Museum, Cape Town, and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Gent (B)
